Using facts and examples, my arguments become that much better. A reader takes my arguments more seriously when I have facts to back them up, especially facts researched from credible sources. Getting all these facts from different perspectives helped to form my own points. When I use these facts, the paper itself changes completely. It no longer seems like it is just some college kid writing. They were still my arguments. But they were backed by well-known, credible sources. Is this your first time to write a reflection paper? You may have little or no idea how a reflection paper should be like. A reflection essay is normally about a personal experience and a lesson or realization from it. It is a personal account of what you think and feel during and after that experience. There is no specific format in the sense that you are to decide what to write and how to write it. However, writing seems to be difficult for most people so here’s a reflection paper format to serve as a guide.Make an outline of your reflection paper. Decide what you want to write about and how many paragraphs the entire paper will be. Number each planned paragraph and write a one-sentence description of what the paragraph will talk about. For instance, Paragraph 3 – The role of suicide in “The Catcher in the Rye”. Compile a short list of any assigned reading, textbooks or online resources you want to use to back up the claims and opinions you write about in your reflection paper.
